The C.Y. O'Connor Village Pub was the brainchild of Professor Roger Dawkins, Research Director of the C.Y. O'Connor ERADE Village. His dream was to create a multi-disciplinary research institute within a village that incorporated all aspects of student researcher's lives. Part of the dream for the village, in Piara Waters, Perth WA, was a Pub where researchers could interact with each other and others from within the community. The Professor initially approached HTS to assist with gaining a Tavern Liquor License which was achieved successfully soon after. HTS were then appointed to complete a Feasibility Study and in doing so recommended changes to the original design including increased internal and external patron space given the expected population growth and demographics of the area. The proposed new plan was then submitted to Local Council and Liquor Licensing and approval obtained.
Throughout the subsequent building phase, Hospitality Total Services were involved with the kitchen, bar, interior and exterior design of the Pub and acted as site superintendent through to completion of the project. This role included assistance with the selection of builder and other tenders for various components of the project and working with the Professor to integrate the Pub into the varied activities and buildings within the C.Y. O'Connor Village.
Hospitality Total Services were then further involved in the fit-out, selection and specification of the kitchen, bar and bottle-shop equipment. We also assisted with the operational setup including supplier negotiation (beer, postmix, cigarette, etc; contracts and buying group analysis), staffing and basic management protocol leading up to the opening in January 2009. Since opening we have provided audit reports regarding operations, benchmark costs and percentages, stocktaking, POS, ordering and staffing to the owner.
C.Y. O'Connor Village Pub continues to successfully provide for the needs of those living in and resorting to the locality by way of a number of seperate areas including a sports bar (with automated TAB facilities), restaurant, mezzanine, alfresco and function room as well as drive-through bottle-shop.

Hospitality Total Services were approached by Rockingham Kwinana Ladies Auxiliary and Rockingham Hospital administration staff jointly in regard to providing a quotation for a design and construct project including a new cafe and gift shop.
We provided an initial concept plan design and budget price and which was accepted and we proceeded to design the project and attend regular meetings with our client, the project architects and the hospital administration on the overall hospital redevelopment project so as to maintain design and operational requirements.
Our task was to design and build the cafe on budget and on target prior to the hospital opening the newly developed section whilst our client maintained a food operation in a temporary facility, this was achieved.
Our further task was to design and fit out the gift shop tenancy without disruption to the newly opened cafe also prior to the overall opening, this was also achieved.
The cafe and gift shop continue to successfully operate today and are run totally by volunteers.

Hospitality Total Services were approached by a party with vacant land to complete a Feasibility Study.
Upon completion, an architect was appointed by HTS and a concept plan for the site was jointly developed and included short-stay accommodation, a tavern and a restaurant.
HTS then assisted through the process to opening including:
- Room Schedules and Layouts
- Laundry Design
- Kitchen / Bar Design and Layouts (Restaurant and Tavern)
- Liquor License Application
- Fit-out
- Operations
The project opened in 2001 and is still operating successfully today.
